Customer Reviews:
Amazing Game even 10 years later, 2008-06-10 I've played all 4 Thief games (Thief 1, 2, 3 and Gold), and I'm still hooked nearly 10 years later. An engrossing storyline that weaves through all 3 games and gameplay that always seems to challenge you is part of the allure, but what makes it even greater is that you can develop your own missions and entire storylines; for those that have played through Thief 2, there is an expansion, "Shadows of the Metal Age" that you can download, for free.
With all of those features (despite the outdated graphics), these games are a must-have for anyone that stealth games where the focus is to enjoy the story and not kill everything in sight.
----Repair---- Just a note - people with Dual-Core or HyperThreaded systems (and/or using DirectSound), Thief 1 & 2 will freeze up if you're running DirectSound above DirectX 8 OR are using a Dual-Core/Hyperthreaded processor. To play, you'll need to disable those features, or in the case of a Dual-Core, run the game and then set it's process to use only one of your CPU's.
