 Life Saver, 2008-09-22
I actually own a Palm Treo 800W; coming from a Treo 755P. One thing that I hate about the new Treo is that they totally changed their plug design from the proprietary Palm connector to the micro-usb.
The thing is that the 800W has this really bad documented problem that it doesn't charge when the battery has completely drained. Not that it charges slowly, it doesn't charge at all!
In comes this device. The 800W and the Centro use the same battery. I basically just keep this thing charged at work using one of my old palm chargers. If my battery has drained, I just pop the charged one from this device into my phone and swap 'em. Device starts back up with a full charge!
I do think that this thing is a little pricey, but I guess you do get a brand new OEM battery with it. It doesn't however come with an AC adapter! It lost one star because of the price...It is however cheaper here on Amazon than on the Palm website.

This product works like advertised. I swap my battery out all the time. When not chargeing the charger can act as a little carry case for the spare battery. Yes, you need your charge cable that came with your Centro but if this came with it the price would be higher. Red light comes on when chargeing and green light when charged. Yellow light is supposed to come on if there is some kind of error but luckily have not had that.
