    ZZ over the TOP, 2008-09-29
Three chord rock is probably the hardest genre of music to pull off live. However, ZZ Top exceeds the everything is bigger and and better in Texas expectation with a stompin' down home stage performance where every tune is a recognizable hit made in the good ol' USA. I'd love to party with these guys! This video is the next best thing.

    Didn't expect much but..., 2008-09-27
I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. I loved ZZ Top (mainly the early stuff) while in high school. Many of the bands from high school seem a step behind live. However, I guess when you play simple blues it's much easier. This isn't a KISS show that will dazzle but it's solid music with a backdrop more modern than I would have imagined. The extras are OK the best being the bonus song.

If you like ZZ Top; you need to get this DVD. It is the "Real Deal" and better than their Rock N Roll Hall of Fame performance, by far.The vocals are good and all of my favorite antics are good. The Reverand "Billy G" is on the ZZ "Top" of his game.

What is UP With the Sound????, 2008-09-24
Just received this TODAY after having 1-day delivery as I COULDN'T WAIT. Now i'm completely disappointed as this DVD has the WORST sound mastering I've ever heard! Didn't anybody check this before send it to manufacturing?

The levels go up and down, mostly DOWN during the instrumental breaks. It's a CONCERT for goodness sake!

I found the picture to be very crisp & clear however the vocals were somewhat muddy. My system is professionally calibrated & I have yet to experience this problem on any of my other B-D disks, live concert or movie alike. This was somewhat of a disappointment. Other than this disk delivers the goods.
