not dad but just as good, 2008-10-19 very nice album. laid-back style. mellow sound (he has a sexier voice than dad, whose sound is more distinctive and folksy. love dad too). this album puts me in the mood to take a long drive home on a country road at dusk.

Play this one all the way through, 2008-09-18 The best albums are ones that may not necessarily have your favorite song on them, but are the ones you can listen to all the way through without skipping a track. While nothing on "Seeing Things" gives the immediate satisfaction of a song like "One Headlight", I took the time to play this album from beginning to end several times and it's a great project. Dylan's voice is the main instrument, and his lyrics are poignant. He is not a dynamic singer (compared to someone like Jason Mraz), but his voice is perfect for the songs he writes. Mellow throughout, and moving in many places. Throw this one on and let it play.

Great Album, 2008-08-24 This album is very good. If you like the Wallflowers as a group, you will like this album. Some of his songs even remind me of his father's old music.

Bravo!, 2008-08-22 Hands down, my favorite album of the year in the Singer-Songwriter genre. Wonderful melodies and lyrics, great singing, great playing, wonderful minimalist production by Rick Rubin---a total gem of a CD! Plus I love every tune on the CD. Probably been about 30 years since that happened!

The Acorn Didn't Fall Far from the Oak, 2008-08-19 This CD has really passed my "acid test". I've been listening to it exclusively over the past week or so and it's one of those albums that just gets better as you get more familiar with it. "Will It Grow" is the best song I've heard all year. I really liked the Wallflowers, but Jacob Dylan's first solo album exceeds all of my expectations. Buy this if you liked his dad, the Wallflowers, sad songs, great acoustic guitar and drop dead amazing songwriting.
