Hudson soars, but Fergie crashes & burns, 2008-07-09 Aside from the amazing end-credit song by Jennifer Hudson, which features a stunning lung-busting vocal performance and bodes well for Hudson's long-awaited debut CD (hello, where is it two years later?!), there's not much else to recommend on the soundtrack - Fergie's cut is embarrassingly bad and unlistenable, the Nina Simone remix is pedestrian and can be found on other compilations, and most of the Bee Gees remakes are tepid at best. Buy Jennifer's single and skip this.
So Much Better Than Expected, 2008-07-08 This soundtrack is my favorite listen in a long, long time. Surprisingly, even the Fergie track has grown on me. The entire album is fantastic. It won't disappoint and is fitting for many moods.
Sex and the City orginal motion picture soundtrack, 2008-07-07 I love the first two songs. After that it go downhill, the whole CD are the real original but the order of the songs should make some adjusment. If you serve all the good things from the beginning as an appetizer then your entree and other will be tastless. I have been playing the first two songs since it is really really good. They should add the original Sex and the City TV show track to make it perfect for anyone.
seems to be more, 2008-07-06 The music is directly from the movie, and it is good. It says something on the jacket about an additional CD. Many good titles on the CD.
Excellent Soundtrack to the Romantic Comedy of Summer 08, 2008-07-05 Fergie, Jennifer Hudson, Al Green, Joss Stone, Run DMC, India Arie, and among others make Sex and The City the soundtrack of the summer.
