Would You Believe.....Max Smart Is Back;without 99?!, 2008-11-09 This 1980 film marked the Return of Don Adams,as Max Smart Agent 86.Don is hilarious,as usual,in this semi-sequel to the Tv show Get Smart. In this film Max is now A member of A group called PITS(I don't understand why it wasn't CONTROL?)anyways Max must stop A derranged fashion designer from leaving the world naked(The Nude BomB).This film is pretty funny, but what really hurts it is that Barbara Feldon, nor Edward Platt, are in the film.Barbara Feldon/Agent 99(Who Max Married)is replaced by Andrea Howard playing Agent 22.Andrea is no replacement for Feldon. The Chief, due to Edward Platts'death,is played quite unconvincingly by Dana Elcar of MacGyver. The reason this film gets 3 stars from me,is because Don Adams is so funny in the film. But had Platt,or more importantly Feldon, been in it,it would've been 5 stars.Funny yes,but ultimately disappointing.
Fun movie, 2008-11-06 While not as good as the TV show, there are some reminders of the humor from way back when.
Maxwell Smart's First Movie!!!, 2008-11-03 This was a pretty good Get Smart movie, although it would have been a lot better if it had Agent 99 in it. Don Adams is always hilarious as Smart. He has to stop a KAOS agent who wants to drop a bomb that will take everyone in the world's clothes go away. (Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing some hot women like that!) If you love Maxwell Smart, you'll love THE NUDE BOMB!!!
The Nude Bombed, 2008-08-31 Although this wasn't a bad movie, it cannot compare to the TV series with 99 and Edward Platt as the chief.
A Pretty Funny Movie, 2008-07-17 Before purchasing this movie, I've read a lot of reviews from all different sites. From people hating it to liking it to loving it, it was pretty complicated to decide. But being the Don Adams fan that I am I did the smartest thing... Okay,I bought it. I saw that he didn't exactly play Maxwell Smart but more like an Austin Powers type, women falling all over him, the strange colorful villian that clones himself, but Adams didn't get too Risqué with the sexual talk like Austin Powers did. But overall I happen to think that this movie was pretty funny. I missed not seeing Barbara Feldman but my favorite scenes was the beginning of the film (very James Bondish) Him driving the desk all over the road after the bad guy and towards the end when Adams and the villian kept cloning themselves and you can even see a mini-Max for a few seconds.
So you can love it, you can hate it, but I personally thought it was a very entertaining spy spoof.
