Mommy, Please Make it Stop, 2008-11-06
As I write this angry users with torches and pitchforks are banging on my door. This product is an absolute disgrace. Installs poorly and shutsdown anything you can think of with no override possible. Uninstalls like gar-bage and crashes exchange server in the process. WOW. Hard to believe this is supposed to be real software. Remote sessions requiring ms popup control in the underlying app. are blocked. When I called MS support the VERY FIRST QUESTION THEY ASKED is are you using SEP11?

    Goodbye Symantec.

Avoid like the plague that it is., 2008-09-08
This is the absolute worst product I've had the (mis) fortune to use from Symantec, a formerly reputable company. My company got this product as an "upgrade" from SAV version 10 and it lasted all of 48 hours on our network. CPU usage on our server shot to 70% for minutes, clients were unable to see the server, everything ran stupider and slower. I could go on, but why bother? Avoid this at all costs -- try AVG or Trendmicro for some speedy protection that actually works.

I am pleased with the service rendered to me.
My product was due for delivery btw 11th and 19th of June and I got it in Nigeria on the 18th. Thats commendable.

    Thanks

I'm a certified Symantec Technlogy Specialist in Endpoint Protection, and this product has been improved (MR2) till become stronger and faster than before. Device control is my favorite part, coz i can control whose allowed to use USB flash desk. Our customers are satisfied with the new level of their endpoints' security. You can download the trail and test by your self.

Buggy garbage misrepresented as enterprise security, 2008-04-16
I bought this because I needed malware protection that would run on Windows Server 2003. The price was right - eighty-five bucks for a five user license. But I guess you get what you pay for.

I installed this on three different Windows 2003 server machines, and it crashed two of the three. Had to yank the power plug on one to get it to reboot - seemed to work OK after that. The other machine was so hosed up I couldn't even uninstall the Symantec software - will probably wind up reloading it completely.

It's hard to believe that a supposedly reputable company like Symantec would release such a messed-up product, particularly as an enterprise-class solution. The place I work is in the process of switching over from Symantec to Trend Micro, and after this I can understand why.
