 John Adams HBO Miniseries, 2008-07-28
More films should be produced like this one about the founding fathers of this great country. Too many Americans, especially young ones, do not have an understanding and appreciation for United States history, and that is so sad. As far as I can tell the film is historically accurate in the main. Very enjoyable!!

Fabulous. John Adams brings our US history to life. It gives personality to the names of those men who attended the Continental Congress and who shaped our constitution. And it reveals the strength and wisdom of Abigail Adams. The acting is superb. The best part comes in the first episodes. I have watched the whole thing three times so far.

American history at its best as Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney bring John and Abigail Adams to life. Both Giamatti and Linney are brilliant in their performances,the supporting cast, the sets, and surroundings are so well done it transports you back in time giving everyone a piece of U.S. history well worth viewing.Bravo!
 DVD does miniseries a great justice, 2008-07-27
My one criticism of this series was the fact that as a history teacher, I realized many people would be unable to keep up with the fast paced story. They would not understand what was going on. Even remembering the characters would be daunting. The DVD does a great thing by adding the historical onscreen commentary as an option while viewing. Many nuances that would otherwise be lost in making sense of John Adams life and the time period are captured. It gives the series a depth it was lacking.
John Adams is a Must-See!, 2008-07-27
Have only watched the first DVD (of 3), but what we've seen so far is extraordinary! The story is gripping and very realastic, and the casting and acting are superb. I highly recommend it for everyone, and it should be required viewing for every American.
