User Friendly and Decently Priced, 2008-05-26

I've used this product for over a year now and have been extremely pleased with the anti-virus and spyware protection. I've used the backup functionality as well in the past and been pleased with it's hands off approach (I use a different solution now though).

Overall, the best PC protection software I've ever used.

A product that does everything and so easy to use., 2008-05-25
Very effective and just what the doctor ordered. A great price too. An easy decision.

You can buy it - but you can never leave. You will be billed even after removing it, 2008-05-23
If you are looking for a good security suite for your PC, avoid Microsoft One Care at all cost. Anyone who signs up for this overly restrictive, unmanageable product, will have to fight to stop being billed, even after you have deleted it from your computers.

Like Hotel California, you can never leave. They billed my expired credit card - after I had deleted all instances, removed the product and moved on. I DID NOT want Microsoft One Care at all, had found a good security suite (Trend Micro PC Cillin is great). Still Microsoft billed me for another year at $49.95 - on an expired credit card.

If you check into this horrible product, you can't leave. You will be billed.

You will continue to be charged to use this badly flawed, overly restrictive product, Microsoft One Care, even if you find it a horrible experience, delete it and tell them what you think of if on the Microsoft One Care web site (they want a review when you uninstall it through Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel). Unfortunately, they still don't take the claws out of your computer.

It's like a stalker - you tell it to go away. Tell it that you are not interested. Tell it you never want to see it again. Then when 365 days have passed, it shows up on your credit card statement again. You have been billed $50 from a stalker software from MICROSOFT, for God's sake, who will not take no for an answer. You may want to call your local police department to get a restraining order against Microsoft. Ask them to keep this horribly written failure of a product at least 500 feet away from any computer in your possession.

    Don't do it.

Works like a charm on both of my computers, 2008-05-23
I've had a desktop computer for years and used Mcafee. I was sick of it slowing my computer down. I couldn't do anything because mcafee was busy scanning and it just really didn't run well with windows. I purchased a laptop about 6 months ago and decided to try Norton. Norton worked fine, but I couldn't even log into my bank account. Every web page I visited it would say I had to download something or do something and nothing worked until I uninstalled Norton. So then I decided to try Onecare. I love this product. It works perfectly. I hardly know it's there unless there's a problem with my computer. As far as this product being expensive. I got mine on sale for like 20 bucks. From time to time you can get it free after rebate on Amazon, so what do you have to loose? I would personally pay 100 bucks for this product because I can protect both of my computers and it works so well on them. I'm just sorry I didn't try Onecare sooner.

    Goodbye Windows, 2008-05-20
This was the last straw when it came to me running Microsoft windows. Windows sucks, and no Anti-Virus software really works. I've used Norton, Macaffee, AVG, One Care, and they are all worthless garbage and do nothing to protect the garbage, unstable, worm hole riddled OS that is Windows. Everyone knows that these worms, viruses etc are being made by the same losers that release these phony Anti-Viruses that don't do anything but slow down Windows even more so than it does all by itself. Do yourself a favour, coming from someone who has used/troubleshooted/crashed/restored/fought with/suffered threw/lost brain cells to windows since 3.1 all the way to Vista, GET A MAC! OS X is so simple and it works. What more of a catch phrase does apple need other than it works and it had no viruses, so no need for wasted money on virus scanners that don't catch s&it. When you see signs advertising "downgrade to XP" Service pack 1 comming soon, service pack 3 available, blue screen of death at Vista launch, more users switching to MAC that should tell you something. You will never see that crap on a MAC, nor will your computer be locked into the bloatware, headaches or unstable world of microsoft raping. Try Leopard OS X and a new MAC and enjoy computing for once.
