Just what I wanted, 2008-02-09 We ordered this since our old version (3 I think?) had problems with our new operating system (Windows Vista). It installed just fine and my husband transferred in all our tags and pictures and it works just like it should. The colors and some set up is new and different. The automatic red eye (option during import into the catalog) does not do a very good job. I prefer to do it with the red eye in the quick fix. (The import pictures dialog box has more choices, like "date picture taken" for one of the file renaming options, and I like that.) The welcome screen is more intuitive than version 3. I'd rate myself as beginner (step above novice) and I would recommend it to anyone who's comfortable experimenting with new software, or already familiar with adobe photoshop previous versions. Good for beginners or more intermediate (maybe up through advanced?) users. For extreme beginners who are looking for simply red eye, cropping, tones (b&w, sepia), and organizing, but no other editing features, I would recommend photoshop album starter edition.
Disappointed, 2008-02-08 Excellent product for post processing digital photos but disappointed that Adobe chose Outlook Express/Adobe e-mail only.

A lot to be desired, 2008-02-08 Many entries on the tool bar are very hard to see. Procedures are difficult to understand due to the poorly written directions, helps, etc. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't recommend this product.
Everything expected and more., 2008-02-08 As a Photoshop user and admirer for years. I thought I would try and replace my outdated software with a less expensive alternative, being I don't use all the elements that I once did (Now retired). I still have a large interest in photography. I am very pleased with Photoshop Elements in almost every aspect. For the price, I really do not think it can be beat. Take a little time to learn the aspects of this software and you will be happy with it.
Abode Photoshop Elements 6, 2008-02-08 I could not get this product to install on my brand new Dell Inspirion Laptop. Tried many times, even downloaded a "patch" for windows VISTA for this product, it then installed, but would not open. I then installed it on my PC (windows XP) and it works great.
Although I was disappointed because one of the reasons why I purchased this product, was so that I could make my own calendars from my pictures. When working with the software, I found out you have to send out (download) the calendars and pay for them from a service.
