Takes the mystery out of working photos/slides, 2008-03-18
This program is a great help in making the best out of photos and slides. What I apprecaite most is the fact that it is written for those of us who are not computer experts. Too many times instructions appear to believe that you already know the problems and answers.

    A great product ... if it doesn't crash!, 2008-03-17
I strongly support those who say that if you are using PSE 5.0 now, don't upgrade to 6.0. I've been using Photoshop Elements since version 3.0 came out and have always been very happy with it. It was a no-brainer that I would upgrade from 5.0 to 6.0 when I got my new computer last year running Windows XP Media Center. The PSE upgrade does have some cool additional features that allow you to tweak your photos even more. Unfortunately, there are also some bugs in the program that Adobe has yet to iron out. One of them, which you can read about on various online forums, is the one plaguing me ... the Organizer interface crashes after I upload RAW (.CR2) files. Multiple messages pop up about C++ runtime errors, etc. It's extremely annoying and time-consuming to deal with and I'm considering going back to 5.0, except that another bug -- I had to re-label several hundred files because the keywords didn't carry over from 5.0 to 6.0 -- has cost me additional grief and I don't want to have to do that all over again. So long story short, I think the hassles involved if your PSE 6.0 doesn't work properly (like mine) far outweigh the advantages if you are already happily running version 5.0. I, in the meantime, will wait for Adobe either to de-bug PSE 6.0 or just battle on until PSE 7.0 comes out.

    Good product, but...., 2008-03-17
This is a great program, but you really have to figure a lot of stuff out on your own....the manual is very vague. But, if you're good with other photo programs, this one is not too difficult. If you're a beginner, you may want to purchase, the "missing manual" i read about....

    Great enhancer, 2008-03-16
Everyone knows that more provacative pictures are taken since the onset of digital photography. With this program you can make your memories even better. You can make things bigger or smaller(why?) as you wish, and years later have visual proof of the way you remembered the experience. Not that I would ever need anything for enhancement, but it's there if I ever wish. This doesn't even mention the multitude of tools available, that are pretty easy to use, to take care of any blemishes on you or your goddess.
This is a great program that is well worth the money.

Not What It Should Have Been, 2008-03-16
This is essentially a good program but is hardly an improvement over Photoshop Elements 5. That makes this upgrade more like a marketing ploy.

I have had no problem loading it on Vista but I only use it for RAW photos.

If Adobe Premiere Elements 4 worked on my computers that use AMD microprocessors I would feel better. I would even stop using Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 for my JPEG's.

If Photoshop Elements 6 had some of Premiere Elements 4's features I would have written a rave review.

By the way, Adobe makes it a real pain to apply for the $20.00 rebate. This is consistent with their marketing strategies.
