    NOD32 - The Best, 2008-02-08
    I've been using NOD32 for several years. It is reliable and uses very little system resources. I am impressed with the frequent automatic virus list updates. I highly recommend NOD32 as your only virus protection program.

    Excellent Anti-Virus protection!, 2008-01-19
    I've been using computers for a GOOD 18 years. I like my computer protected with the BEST. When I bought my Dell it had "Trend Micro" on it and I HATED it. I've now switched to NOD32 and its absolutely excellent. I was a little leary of buying it since all the reviews made it sound like you had to be a ADVANCED computer user. (I wasn't sure how advanced they meant?) But I installed this on my computer & its great. The installation was easy and I had no problems at all with it. :) It does NOT slow your computer down like ALL the other Anti-Virus programs do. Norton was good, but it really bogged down my computer..NOD32 doesn't!

    If you aren't real knowledgable about computers you can STILL install this program and its ready to run as is. But if you are a little bit computer savy it is EASY to set-up NOD32. I did NOT find it difficult like the reviews kept saying. One thing I really LOVED about it was I've had a problem for a year now with google earth. I downloaded it and I could NEVER get it to shut down completely. (It kind of took over my computer.) The minute I ran NOD32 with its "In Depth Analysis" it found the problem with google earth and CORRECTED it. That alone made my day and showed me how good this program is. That's just for starters. This has to be the BEST AV out there. Nothing gets by NOD32.

    I'd really like to know why they keep saying its NOT for the average user? This program is no more difficult then any other AV? These people must be talking about total NEWBIES? Its not that difficult and if you DO know about about computers and programs there is SO MUCH you can do with NOD32 that you can't with other AV.

    I have a top of the line Dell laptop and was worried about NOD32 slowing it down. But it is JUST as fast as before, maybe faster without Trend Micro on here. You can't even tell I installed the program. My husband installed it on HIS laptop to and is just as happy if not more then me. He is really good with computers and he doesn't think anything out there can top NOD32 at present. NOD32 scans my computer so FAST! I also love how easy it is to run an IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS that checks everything in your computer. If there is anything there it WILL find it.

    I HIGHLY recommend NOD32. I've tried Norton AV, Trend Micro, McAfee and you name it and NOD32 blows them away. Absolutely NO comparison. I'm so glad I bought this. Everything about NOD32 is flawless. I don't undertand the people that are saying their computer came to a complete halt once it was installed? Did you people FOLLOW the instrutions? You Have to UN-INSTALL your current AV on your computer FIRST. Find all the files if some were missed in the un-install and then install NOD32...its quick, simple, easy and ready to go the minute you have it loaded. I say this is a GREAT buy...I wouldn't have anything else on my computer but NOD32. I have NOD32 and Zone Alarm as my fire wall and this computer is still smoking fast. Love NOD32...if you want the best...this is it.

    The Award Winning Antivirus, 2008-01-08
    NOD32 has won several awards on their great software. It deinetly barely uses any system resourse. MY vista computer used less then 50% of Ram before and is still under that range after installation. My dual core 1.8ghz pc is still only at less than 10%. And that with the scan running. This is a must buy if you know a little bit to a lot of computers. Not for the average user, unless you have a friend that can teach you.I suggest purchasing from TragicLittlePC. They have a great price and if you just order regular shipping, there will be a free upgrade to Expedite it.

    NOD32 V2.7- GREAT! "DO NOT" free upgrade, to NOD32 V3!, 2007-11-24
    I am a software tech (many years)-
    For 2yrs I have been "happily" running #1 rated... NOD32 V2.7, and LOVE it (still do/I'm back!).
    I've never been infected (knock on wood!)- since using N32, and "rock solid" Spy Sweeper V5.3.2.2361 Anti-Spyware (new V5.5 was buggy, and SLOW)!- SSP support will give you download link, to old V5.3...!)

    I saw where I could free "upgrade (NOT!)", to their new N32 V3 with an improved interface (NOT!- Dumbded down!)?

    I HAD a lightening fast computer, prior to installing (by the book...!)buggy V3 (many similar complaints on net!)!
    Cons with V3-
    1. Far fewer options, and difficult to find/schedule scans...
    2. ALL my applications slowed opening/closing, slower downloads. Web pages MUCH slower to load, or not at all!

    I cleaned Registry, super defragment/optimize, chkdsk...- NO IMPROVEMENT!
    I reinstalled V2.7..., and I'm FAST again!
    ~~~
    I should know better than to upgrade to ANY new computer Security Product, until they've been debugged (if ever!)!-
    Most XP security software were good before trying to make them compatible with both Vista & XP (now bloated & buggy!)!
    I feel that software vendors...- have to start making TWO separate versions!
    Buggy, 2007-11-24
    I bought this months ago and after I installed it, my system came to a crawl. Checking task manager I found the "System" process (not "System Idle") running at 99% CPU. I rebooted but had the same problem. If I killed the System process, it restarted itself at a normal CPU level, but certain things (like my sound card) would stop working.
    I saw other people with similar complaints on the Internet, but did not find any solution. I contacted ESET who also did not have a solution. They said something about Norton being uninstalled incorrectly even though I had never used Norton. I finally didn't have any more time to mess with it, so I uninstalled it.
    I recently installed it again to see if they have resolved the problem with program updates but it behaved exactly the same. I checked their website and they were offering a free upgrade to version 3.0 and I figured that would resolve the problem. In a way, it did. The System process no longer ran at 99% CPU. Instead, the ESET software process itself did, so my system still ran at a crawl. I had to uninstall it again.
    Besides these problems, the installation software and the ESET's GUI are not user friendly. I've used a lot of different AV through the years and I haven't seen anything this bad since the DOS days.
    It is becoming harder and harder to find AV software that isn't a bloated resource hog. Through the years, I've moved away from Norton, then McAfee. I had been using Trend Micro for a few years and that was really good until the 2007 version. I use Kaspersky on my main system and it is pretty good but has a few annoying quirks and is relatively expensive (and they don't offer multi-user packs for their AV-only software). I was hoping ESET would be a good, reasonably cheap alternative but I am very disappointed with the results. I guess if you don't encounter this particular bug and you can get past the awful interface, this may be a good choice for you.
    P.S. I just checked Kaspersky's website and they sell a 3-user version on their website even though it isn't available on Amazon. Given my experience, I would recommend that over ESET.
