my laptop is still running about the same. This memory is no better than the best.

Purchased this product to upgrade my Vista laptop that I purchased in October 2007 (it's a Gateway MX 8739 sold in retail outlets like Best Buy) and the memory worked perfectly. No problems installing - just unscrew the memory bay cover, pop out the old memory, and slid the new memory in - and Vista had no troubles recognizing the new memory.

Yes I wanted a single 2gig piece and was confused and got two 1s. This is certainly not that clear unless you read every word of this listing.
The main picture should start with the two item image not the single.

Bought it 4-5 months back cos my laptop came with a measly 1Gig of RAM. Has worked great so far. Never had any issues like memory dump or anything similar. I use hibernate and standby modes often and this works just fine. I am happy with the RAM
