The collection you really want to OWN!, 2008-04-13
GIT really did a fine job with these comic collections. Too bad Marvel is now going totally online and won't let anyone have the actual comics in hand anymore. *sigh* Oh, well -- but if you can get it used (or from GIT), go for it. It's definitely worth the money!

    The Mighty Avengers Forever!, 2008-03-20
I think this is a great collection. I own several other DVD-ROM collections and I consider them well worth the cost. It is really fun reading the old adventures of Capt. America, Vision, Thor, Scarlet Witch and the rest like when I was a kid. Except of course it takes up almost no space, looks great on my laptop screen, and will not go yellow and fade like paper . I very highly recommend this set. 10 Stars!!!!

    Definitely worth the price!, 2008-01-08
Everything from 1963 through Disassembled and the first twelve issues of New Avengers! Sadly, only the main Avengers title is included (no Avengers Forever or West Coast Avengers), but still an awesome, awesome collection. Nicely arranged by decade and year, requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.

    Big Time Avengers Fan, 2007-11-19
As with most other reviewers, i am a long time Avengers fan. The first issue I purchase off the newsstand was Avengers #149 in 1976 and it was probably the first one I pulled up and re-read.

I've long since stopped collecting; after about 1993 or so most of the titles i had liked became either too complicated or violent or had maybe i had moved on. Now my kids (4 & 7) are big time fans, and to be able to let them virtually page through comics from my fan days is priceless. I have all the issues in boxes, but i'd like to pass them on in the same condition, so it's a MUCH cheaper way to let them enjoy them.

Everyone talks about being able to read the complete run of a series, but I think people forget that that's not how you buy them (usually). Each week, I would make my way (on bike) down to the 7-Eleven and check to see which Marvel issues had come out. So, I would buy them, en masse, and take them home and read each new issue. Why do I bring this up? Because, if you buy all the Marvel Titles on DVD, you can literally read an entire months worth of issues, just as you did when they came out. Talk about Nostalgia Heaven!

    'Nuff Said (and Avengers Assemble!)

    The Entire Story, 2007-09-26
I was very happy to be able to buy the entire story in one very reasonably priced bargain. You can enlarge or reduce the image so you can read a panel, page, or whatever you choose. I did not use the print option.
