    Kindle Buttons, 2008-10-10
Love the Kindle, great for traveling or everyday use BUT, the buttons are just not correctly sized. Too easy to hit previous page button on the left side instead of next page button. Previous page button on left should be much smaller since next page button is used the majority of the time, it should be larger. If this weren't a gift, I would have waited to see if next Kindle were more ergonomically correct.

    Terrific new device!, 2008-10-10
I was skeptical about this device, but I love it! Easy to use, and great for the eyes! You can change text size any time you want, and that is such a great idea!

    Enjoyable, just Love it!!, 2008-10-10
I have enjoyed every time I have spent with my Kindle. I stay up late at night and enjoy my quiet time to read. I have arthritis and because it is so light and the font is easy to change I don't tire so easily and can read longer. Please keep the books coming and the prices right. I can afford new books now. My Kindle was a gift from my son,and now he is number 1 ha ha.

    Amazon Kindle, 2008-10-10
This is an amazing product. I can carry several hundred heavy books in a small, lightweight container. What I really like: it's easy to carry, I can change the font to fit my eyes (which are more comfortable with a slightly larger font), and I can get a free sample which allows me to make sure I haven't already read the book. The only downsides are that the page buttons are right where you would normally hold the device and you can't share a book with a friend.

    Kindle Purchase, 2008-10-10
If the only consideration is reading a book, or a magazine then it performs the duty quite well. But there is more, the ambient light has to be sufficent since there is no back lighting.

It happens that better than 50% of my time is spent on a West coast Peninsula where Sprint Cell phone service is marginal and the Kindle is deaf. In order to update, or receive a new book I have to travel South about 14 miles.

In the experimental section, I have hours of MP3 material, but the Kindle plays it back sequentially thus if you wanted to listen to a particular selection you are in big trouble.

I am not slamming this product. It works very well for what it was intended. I guess if asked whether I would buy it for $350 knowing what I know about it, I would have to take some pause before moving forward on the purchase.
