The microphone has a very loud hum or buzz. There is no support for it, no warranty information, Microsoft site keeps leading me to pay for support. Don't purchase.

    Webcam works, 2008-08-12
It's a good product from Microsoft. Easy to configure and use. Only drawback is its mic which conflicts with the installed mic drivers. However, that can be adjusted by the volume settings. For home us this is good product.

Terrible Web Cam - AVOID!, 2008-08-12
This cam is not plug and play and sometimes even restarting your PC is not enough. Also disrupts other devices. Forget about this webcam.

    Great product, fast delivery, 2008-08-10
I've got what I expected. Worked out of the box. Have no any problem so far.
    Highly recommended

    Install, Insert, Point-Click, & Touch = 1 Solid Cam!, 2008-08-08
Installation was Easy! I hooked it up yesterday and was caming up with all my buds, the advantage i had was that the audio was built in while they had to use external mics... ha!

    Setup (using vista) -
All i did was install the CD, Insert the USB into the computer, Click a few ok buttons, adjust the voice and visual frequencies, and touch the "one-touch" on button and i was caming up with the crew!

    Hands on -
The hands on experience was breath taking, i was soo excited. why? because my first web came sucked... cheap yes (logitec), but quality was so horribly bad i felt like i was trapped in the age where TV was first invented (lol). But it wasn't a lost because it strengthens my review of how sweeet this webcam is. The additional video effects are amusing and 3D-ishh... like having a bug running up and down the screen while your viewer is wondering what the hek is that, while you're pretending to smack it away but it keeps crawling all over the screen lol. i had fun doing that.

Using it with Microsoft Live Messenger: Well, it was awesome, visuals came out superb. audio was awesome! i read recently about those who's audio was distorted- well i guess they probably was 10ft away from the cam because my Bro was at my room door 3ft away from the cam and i recorded him perfectly well at normal vocal frequency.

Using it with Yahoo Messenger: Aughh, this is why i didn't give it a 5-star because the box said it would work with messenger (which it did) but it was off key by a whole lot! Everything was distorted like my old cam, but with a 35% better video quality. Motion was sluggish and viewing was unappleasing... but i guess i blame Yahoo for their sleezy Messenger. But, Microsoft shouldn't advertise then that it will work at a high quality on "all" messenger with video capability.

Using it with Digsby: Awesome! Digsby is a multiple chat client like trillian for those who don't know, with a few perks and kicks. The web cam showed beautifully on it, with all my dazzled 3d-ish effects.

Overall, it's well worth the $25.00 i paid for it when it was on sale on Amazon.com, that's one item i can toss out the box and rip the receipt because this item is a keeper!! Get yours and enjoy it too! :)
