stops turing on, 2008-07-18 I ordered a Palm Z22 in April. I was not overly impressed but it did suit my needs. Barely a month of owning it, it quit working. I could not get it to turn on. Someone else that had one said she had a similar problem in that it stopped working (coming on) as well. She left her palm on her dresser for a few months. One day while she was cleaning up she came across her Z22. She was about to throw it out but decided to try it one more time and it came on. She finally gave up on it when it did it again a month or so later. So I tried that --- it still does not work. I would not recommend this product to anyone. That was $95 down the drain.

battery problems, 2008-07-16 the Z22 works well enough for the price. but after about 10 months the battery has stoped holding a charge for more than two days. not so useful that way.

Not so good, 2008-07-15 I had the Z22 for 2 months before it crashed. I emailed Customer service and they were helpful. I did a Hard reset and all was well for a few days now it crashes about 3 times a week and I am going to send it in to Palm for serviceing but am buying a HP Ipac to replace it and will use the Z22 as a back up.
I am not planning to buy any more Palm PDAs for a while.

Pleasant Surprise - Good ebook reader, 2008-07-10 I bought this product 8 months back.
Operating System: I use this product on both Windows XP and Mac OS X Leopard. [...]
Use: I bought this for its PDA functions. However, I now use this to do two things: 1. Create list of stuff when I go shopping. 2. Read ebooks in text format. 3. Scribble some pictures when I am bored :) My phone pretty much does the rest of the things and does them well.
Charge/Life: I have read several reviews about this coming dead in the package. I fortunately, had no issues. I just make sure that this is never completely discharged. As soon as it shows low charge, I immediately charge it through the USB port. Each charge lasts 4-5 days depending on the usage.
Connectivity: I believe the lack of bluetooth or Wi-fi is a boon. It's just two less things to distract you! :)
Storing images: It can store and display images in very low resolution (160x160 pixels). So don't buy this if it's the primary reason you are going for this.
Other Info: Most of the rest of the features are OK. The software that comes with the device (for PC/Mac) for contacts, appointments etc shows age. (Looks like typical 90s software).
The device itself never crashed and has been VERY stable.
Hope this helps! :)
Worse than a virus or a worm!!, 2008-07-06 The software for this thing, in both its download form and disc, essentially destroyed the operating system of the (Dell) computer on which it was installed. There were no warnings posted or printed about potential problems, and there are no fixes available from Palm.
I strongly suggest avoiding this product, and being VERY careful with any other Palm unit. There are plenty of less dangerous alternatives.
