Palm Z22 Handheld A Good Buy, 2008-07-05 The Palm Z22 Handheld is smaller and lighter than my previous handheld device. I use it mainly for the contact list, calculator, memos and notepad. The Graffiti 2 writing method is easy to learn, but the Z22 also has an on-screen keyboard to use when the Graffiti 2 just won't cooperate. I really like having all these functions on one small device which fits easily in my purse. I'm glad I also purchased the Fexi-Case. An added "surprise" feature I hadn't anticipated: the students in the high school where I work are super-impressed when I pull out my Z22 to use as a calculator. So, I now know it has a really cool look, on top of the useful features.
nice organizer, 2008-07-03 This thing is great if you have alot of appt. (like Dr.s for your kids) or going grocery shopping. I like the fact that you can store your grocery list, Dr.s Appt., and even contact numbers all on this little handheld. So you dont lose or forget anything.
Major problems attemptine to use the E book reader, 2008-07-02 I bought it to be able to read E books but so far have been unable to nake it work. Nowhere is there any place that even list the E bookreader on it althought it show up on my computer, saying it will be installed at the next hot synk. Most of the space is a bunch of worthless games, with no way to delete them. It has proved to be as useful asa cheat note pad and a cheap calulator. JUNK!!
when it works!, 2008-07-02 Third times the charm. Returned first two of this item because they died! Just plain died. Of course, after I entered all my information. So far, this third unit is working like a charm. Simple to use, limited expandability and software but enough for my needs. Only thing which would make this ideal...a spell checker!
total waste, 2008-07-01 Bought this for my husband after first calling Palm to see if it worked with Vista. I was assured it would but to download from site rather than the cd. Well, many hours and even more frustrations later, we got it to work (although not all features ever totally worked.) But then it started experiencing power-on failures. If you like dealing with hard resets and rentering all your information again, this is the unit for you!! Except, now it won't come on at all. Palm offers no help and in looking at some of the handheld message boards it's clear that ours are a common and unresolvable problems. That alone is reason not to buy a z22. The fact that more than a year after the release of Vista Palm has still not adapted their software to be fully functional is another.
