Roxio has variety, 2008-10-03 I have purchased several Roxio products to burn CD and each one works differently than the last. This is a bit confusing.
Roxio Easy CD & DVD, 2008-09-17
I like this program (Easy CD & DVD)! I have Windows XP and this program has the Roxio (Sonic) Express Labeler--which a is simple CD & DVD BURNING program.
I do NOT like the NERO software (because of TOO MANY "bells and whistles"--stuff that right now I DON'T NEED!
Thank goodness I found the labeler I was "used to" I believe this used to be the Sonic Express Labeler--becase it does the same things the labeler someone else put on my computer(a HP Media Center Edition), used to do--only it had the "Sonic" name on it.
Who needs "bells and whistles of NERO? I don't!
Roxio Easy CD & DVD is the one for me--and maybe you too--especially if you're frustrated with NERO and what you want is burning software without the "frills" of Nero.
*Roxio Easy CD & DVD is it!
* This program works with "Lightscribe" DVD/CD Writers. It is a basic easy program
Who needs frills? When all you need is "simple"?
Don't Waste Your Money, 2008-08-20 I bought this software bundle for one reason: to make copies of DVDs that I had already recorded. It doesn't even do this basic function, it is pretty worthless. After buying it I upgraded to the full Roxio suite and haven't had a problem since. Instead of spending this $25 on this software bundle spend the $65 and get the full setup.
Disappointed, 2008-08-07 I had an earlier version of Easy CD Creator on another computer, with music files already stored. Roxio, since acquiring the product from Adaptec, no longer supports the old format -- which would have been good information to know BEFORE THE PURCHASE! I already had Nero and would not have purchased this software if they had been forthcoming and stated that information on a disclaimer.
Forget it!, 2008-06-30 I bought this Roxio software and installed it on my XP system and up came a Corrupted Error report. When I went to get the details this is what came up next: "Unfortunately, the error report you submitted is corrupted and cannot be analyzed. Corrupted error reports are rare. They can be caused by hardware or software problems, and they usually indicate a serious problem with your computer."
Before I installed this software I created a Restore Point. I unstalled this program and returned to the Restore Point and the message came up "System fully recovered." Whew! Stay away from this loser Roxio product. Oh yes, I tried getting in touch with Roxio without success, but that is another story.
