 Product good - no longer manufactured; service unacceptable, 2007-01-09
I am pleased with the Epson product. However, I don't believe it is new. There was no manufacturer's packaging in either shipment. The first shipment only contained the device itself, no power cords, instructions, warranty info. The replacement contained only the device and the power adapter. Being an IT tech, I could install it with a generic power cord and no instructions but shouldn't have had to. Epson's product works great, but is no longer made, according to the Epson rep with whom I spoke. Amazon knocked $25 off the price and I kept the print server, but I will not trust them with electronics again. Neither shipment was close to complete, had any proof that it was new, or was not a knock-off, or contained any instructions. I have always had positive experiences with Amazon in the past, so I was VERY suprised with this order.
