An awsome Jurassic Park game., 2006-08-23
Well, this game is one of my personal favourites. It's great for Jurassic Park fans who love the merchandise. This game has the best dinosaurs from the trilogy - like Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor, Brachiosaurus... and a lot more from the movies. I love this game, because it's one of the only Jurassic Park games where you get to make a park the way you want it(besides "Jurassic Park 3: Park Builder")!
Yes, this game is good, but there are some things i can't stand, like non-reflective water, weird-looking and acting people, a strange and different park entrance, and when the people don't visit the whole of the park you build.
Okay, I mentioned some bad things, but they don't ruin the game! This game's still really fun for Juarssic Park fans, so I definitely recommend playing this game.

Performance: 8.5/10
Runs very smooth with (what I have). Be aware the frequency will suck on VIA S3 Unichrome-based cards as well as older Intel IGP series running on Intel P.3. AMD processors will make a difference (same as Intel P.4) Be sure to download all updates for your drivers!
Graphics: 10/10
The graphics are so charming indeed. From dinosaurs to grass, everything has a colour and "pieces" of life to it. Although visitors' faces could be a little more clear it still works great. Blood effects were applied using 2D Alpha Blending, you can see it if you look too carefully and it's not too bad but could be a little better.
Sounds: 9.5/10
As for sounds part... Well the basic "effects" are okay except the annoying crickets/birds sounds in the background. Nothing special about sounds but the music, that's what gives it a real rate. John William's soundtrack was there including all major themes and even the ones composed just for the game. If you love JP music then this game will be splendid indeed for you. Go to Music directory in Game Folder, open the music tracks with Winamp (only), convert those to mp3s and burn them to CD if you desire. I know I did...
GamePlay: 6.5
Could be much, much better!... Just the "mail" alone will kill and annoy the heck out of you. Dinosaurs get sick every 25 minutes, and it is almost impossible to get them back to normal, sometimes even "Vacinize All Units" feature does not help. Visitors are very stupid... If you build a park with "long valleys" then put at least 3 park entrances in different places. You see, visitors are dumb enough - they will NEVER walk over entire park.
Dinosaurs just walk around the park and are very boring at times. Even if you delete or cause a fence to disappear the carnivores will still not attack visitors unless they are, what the game nicely calls, "stressed."
If you like adventure/action games then don't even bother with this one. The missions are very easy and there is no more action other than shooting at helpless dinosaurs.
Overall:
This game is cool for nerds and I am a nerd so it is cool. I love the graphics and the music and although the gameplay was a little sucky I still recommend it to friends. This one will be perfect for those who wish to kill time or relieve stress by opening the gates of hell on visitors in park.

WOW!!! The graphics are AWESOME!!!, 2005-11-26
Ever since I saw the movie, I wanted to build my own version of JP. Well, here it is. I absolutely love this game. The graphics are AWESOME!!! It is especially pleasing to see the great detail and effort put forth to make the dinos look realistic. Also, the dinos' AI is pretty smart... even for a dino. Some dinos would play with each other, some would chase and eat each other, and some would protect each other. My only fustration was the dino cap limit. You can only produce 60 dinos max. This game is much easier to play and learn compared to Roller Coaster Tycoon, Sim City, etc. I was up and playing this game like a pro after the tutorials. I really like how the team incorporated the various rides in the movie and put them in the game. He he he, I like it when a T-Rex trashes one of my land cruisers and I have to fly in and rescue the poor visitor. Bottom line: A GREAT GAME!!!
I hope they make an expansion pack that includes dinos from Jurassic Park III.....

 Bad Experience with this purchase, 2005-09-25
First off...this game was for the pc when we thought it was for the Sony Playstation 2; then after trying to load it onto the computer, it wouldn't work. After calling the tech support number given in the instruction booklet, we found that the distributor of the game no longer gave tech support for this particular game, and gave us no other avenue to pursue to resolve the problem. We are at a loss as to what to do now, and truly would like a refund of our purchase price for the game...Is there any way that we can get this done through Amazon or the originator of the game?
