Mariah Carey's Daydream came true!, 2006-02-13
Mariah Carey's Daydream is one of the best albums of the 90's as she is the best singer ever and the best selling female artist of the 90's. I highly recommend it, if you are a fan of hers or just a music fan, you will love this album.

"Fantasy" a great, upbeat 1st single and great song to listen to while driving in your car with your friends on a summer day. 10/10
"Underneath the Stars" A nice and peaceful song but my least favorite on the album yet it's still great. I still listen to it. 7/10
"One Sweet Day" A beautiful ballad with Boyz II Men. 10/10
"Open Arms" This is a remake of the 1980's version and she does a great job with it. 10/10
"Always Be My Baby" I personally love this song. One of her best songs and it has a great R&B feel to it. 10/10
"I Am Free" Another ballad she wrote with Walter. Anything with him is sure to be beautiful. 8/10
"When I Saw You" Another one of her beautiful ballads. 9/10
"Long Ago" A good song and it has a very R&B feel to it. 9/10
"Melt Away" I love this song also. She wrote this with Babyface. It's a great mid-tempo song. 10/10
"Forever" Another great ballad where she really showcases her voice beautifully. It has a 50's feel to it. 10/10
"Daydream Interlude" This is a club mix inturlude. It's ok. 6/10
"Looking In" The album ends with this haunting ballad where she sings that she's as normal as all of us. 9/10

Lastly, I do believe this is one Mariah's best and if you like her get this and all her albums. She's the bomb and to all the haters: dont hate, appreciate the best singer in the world!

Its more than a sweet sweet Fantasy , 2005-12-13
Quite simply the best Mariah album EVER... Daydream was where we saw the real, raw Mariah as her cross from pop sensation to RnB diva was complete. There really is somethign 4 everyone on here!
The amazing Fantasy opens up the album with its amazing bass line and incredible lyrics (10/10). Underneath the stars, similar to 1997's Butterfly, is also an amazing track with an oldy feel. One Sweet Day, a collabaration with boyz II Men is powerful as is Open Arms where Mariah's powerful vocals will invade your eardrums. All of these songs desrve nothing but a 10/10.
Always be my baby (10/10) is one of her most popular tracks and is true RnB. I am Free is one of the most emotional songs on the record with the haunting piano and vocals sending a ashover down your spine.
When I Saw You is an epic ballad and really deifnes the tone of the album, again 10/10. Forever is quite simply Mariah's best song on this album. Her vocals are amazing and the 1950's style music adds to the romance of the song.
Melt Away and Long Ago are also well worthy of a 10/10 although they weren't singles as is Looking In which is quite simply a mellow ballad - Mariah Style.
The Daydream Interlude would be the only downer on the album - it is good, but doesnt fit in with the atmospheres created by the other ballads and RnB hits with its dancey feel.
Overall, quite simply the best Mariah album ever- go get it!

Mariah Carey is Crazy and so are her Fans, 2005-11-26
The following is a direct excerpt from Mariah's "TeamLamb" website:

    Lets Help Madonna's Album Flop!!

Welcome to TeamLamb, an organized team of Maria Carey fans. Our purpose is to keep Mariah, the biggest female musical icon of all time, on top.

Unfortunately, the no-talent slut, Madonna, is still being referred to as the "Queen of Pop," even though her most recent album, American Life, and her Reinvention Tour have really made her the "Queen of Flops." Madonna used to be successful, but that's because she slept her way to the top. Mariah, on the other hand, has sold millions of records based solely on her amazing talents and being a great role model.

Mariah has had sixteen number one singles. Her last two number one singles, "We Belong Together" and "Heartbreaker" have broken worldwide records everywhere. Mariah's most recent Charmbracelet tour was a critically acclaimed smash that played to millions all over the world. Roger Friedman, a well respected music journalist, called the concert one of the greatest he's seen in the past ten years. Mariah is, indeed, the biggest musical sensation since the Beatles.

Within the next couple months, Madonna will try to take away Mariah's crown by releasing "Confessions on a Dance Floor" along with the single, "Hung Up." There seems to be a lot of buzz , but most of it seems generated by Madonna's desperate, pathetic fans. TeamLamb will do everything we can to make this project a flop for Madonna. [...]

this album had more mass appeal than music box, 2005-11-25
music box became her best selling ever and this album's sales are very close to it because she had even more mass appeal. Fantasy was a friendly song and video that appealed to both adults, kids and teenagers. Everyone in my middle school was enjoying fantasy and did it for the talent show. Boyz 2 Men were a very popular and respected r&b group and they appealed to many youth/kids at my age that time and they were also on adult contemporary radio cause adults enjoyed their beautiful ballads, so naturally the duet one sweet day saw major major success. Always be my baby was a nice r&b song that appealed to both(I wish jermaine dupri made music like this for mariah still) and the hip hop mix featuring da brat and xscape was a fresh thing at the time for mariah and appealed to the younger crowd. Then forever came out and though I personally loved the 50's sound to it it went nowhere on the charts and that was the end of the daydream period. Other highlights on this album for me were underneath the stars which got airplay on r&b/urban radio occasionally, and the r&b/tinged hits long ago and melt away which could have been singles. I wouldn't be surprised if this outsold music box if it hasn't already cause mariah was much bigger with this than with music box. Music box had young fans too but mostly adult fans who were also into celine dion.
