Product Description:

Infernal is a third person shooter with a difference. You'll become part of an action-packed journey in a supernatural battle between Heaven and Hell. Gamers take on the role of Ryan Lennox, a fallen angel who becomes a mercenary working for the Devil. He's been hired to restore the balance between Good & Evil. Lennox embarks upon a dangerous journey into a world of deception and betrayal, armed with special abilities and military grade weaponry. Infernal makes use of 'Ageia PhysX software,' enhancing the realistic effects of the game and also supports the 'Ageia PhysX card' for even more stunning visuals.

Customer Reviews:

This is a very enjoyable game., 2008-02-28
I really enjoyed Infernal. This game brings some very cool new features to the standard third person shooter genre. You have certain powers such as teleportation and the ability to move things around that would normally be too heavy to move. This adds a puzzle aspect to the game that I enjoyed. Each time you enter a new area you must think of how best to proceed by deciding which powers to use.

The story is really good keeping you wanting to find out what happens next. I like the ability also to restore health from the enemies that you shoot. Each level brings a different environment that keeps the game interesting. The boss fights are excellent with good challenges.

The graphics are really, really good too. This game has a problem with screen tearing due to no vsync feature in the game options. But, there is a way to virtually eliminate this problem. Run Riva Tuner's D3D Overrider in the background while playing the game so that the triple buffering and vsync can work together for this D3D game. Also, turning off the reflection in the game options helps this too. I played the entire game with Riva Tuner running and only experienced some screen tearing on the very last levels and it wasn't bad at all.
