Product Description:
DataViz Desktop To Go frees you from the clunky Palm desktop application by making it easy to share data between your Palm organizer and any of several desktop information managers running under Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT. With support for Microsoft Schedule+ 7.0 and 7.5, and Microsoft Outlook 97, 98, and 2000, this product smoothly synchronizes contact information, to-do list items, notes, and other information between hand-held and desktop computers. DataViz says this product will work with all Palm OS device units, including the new Palm VII and HandSpring Visor devices. I used this product to synchronize Schedule+ 7.0 data between a Windows 95 computer and a Palm III and found that it worked very well in both directions. When you set up Desktop To Go (at installation time or later), a neatly organized interface allows you to establish rules about how data is transferred. You can choose to have data from your desktop application transferred to your Palm or vice versa. You also can specify that the two databases be synchronized; this means that you can enter data on your Palm and in your desktop application between HotSyncs, then have the software merge the two databases at HotSync time so all the data appears simultaneously in both environments. You can also specify how collisions are handled. An example of a collision might be when you've entered updated contact information for the same person on both your Palm and your desktop application the same day. With the instructions you enter initially, Desktop to Go will do what you've programmed it to. Once you've configured these rules, Desktop To Go does its work with near-transparency. Palm users can HotSync just like they normally would, with the only difference being that some Desktop to Go status boxes pop up during the process (and do not require attention). --David Wall

Instructional Systems Design Officer, 2001-05-13 Great program. It helped me synch my palm between work and home. Was able to synch multiple palms on home and work computer to share schedules and contacts. Would recommend this product for any multiple palm office or home usage.
