 Works Great, Awkward Interface, 2007-01-13
For anyone who has used Microsoft Streets & Trips for years, as I have, and loved it, Delorme products have a learning curve. I have tried their products over the years for the laptop but have always gone back to S&T, especially now with voice commands and nice screen improvements. The Delorme product for the handheld is a step above S&T for the handheld in that you do get voice directions and can route a trip right on the Ipaq. Both products work great with bluetooth GPS. Getting the map to the Ipaq is a very different process than with S&T and it is not intuitive at all. It takes time and practice, but once mastered, it works great. As to streets missing or wrong, that is the case with all maping software. They all have missing info and errors. I would give this product five stars, since you get the desktop version along with the handheld version in the one inexpensive package, but the awkward interface that Delorme switched to about five years ago allows me to only give the product four stars.
