Customer Reviews:
Great AV Cooling Device!!, 2008-12-07 This product delivers its promise. I use it to cool a previously scalding hot Onkyo 606 receiver. Now the receiver is just warm to the touch. I have it set up on an enclosed media stand open to the front side. The Antec Cooler sucks hot air out of the receiver and pushes it out the back. This should really help your device's performance as well as increase its life.
The cooler's hum is noticeable only if you mute the TV (which shouldn't matter). Watching TV at a normal sound level + running a ceiling fan, I don't even notice mine, even on the High setting.
If your receiver does not have a triggered outlet I would recommend getting a smart strip to have the cooler turn on only when you turn on the device to be cooled. This way you avoid the small hassle of walking over and manually switching the cooler on and off every time.
Fast delivery too! A+
